Built around your content, not a template
Off-the-shelf themes look great in a demo, then fill up with features you don’t need and layouts your content doesn’t fit. Pages get slower and harder to edit.
I start with your content and goals instead: what visitors need to find, and what you want them to do next. The design and the build follow from that, using the native WordPress block editor so every page stays light and editable.
What you get
Every custom WordPress build includes all of the following.
Planned site structure
A sitemap and page outline agreed with you before any design starts.
Original design
Layouts, type and color designed for your brand, checked on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Responsive build
Pages built in the WordPress block editor that adapt cleanly to every screen size.
Speed-conscious setup
Compressed WebP images, lean pages, few plugins and caching configured from the start.
Basic on-page SEO
Clear headings, page titles, meta descriptions and clean URLs on every page.
Handover and walkthrough
A walkthrough of editing your pages, plus full admin access and ownership of the site.
Pages I typically build
Most small business sites include some of these. We agree the final list together.

Questions about website builds
Looking for something else? See speed optimization, website maintenance, all WordPress services or ask me directly.
Do you use Elementor or the block editor?
I mainly build with the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) and the Blocksy theme. Pages stay lighter and faster than with heavy page builders, and you edit them with the tools that come with WordPress. If your project requires Elementor, I also build with it.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Every page is built so you can change text, images and sections yourself, and the handover includes a walkthrough.
How long does a custom build take?
It depends on the number of pages and how quickly the content is ready. After our first call, you get a written timeline with clear milestones.
Who provides the content?
You supply the details and text about your business. I help you plan what each page needs, so you know exactly what to prepare.
What about hosting and the domain?
You keep your hosting and domain in your own name. I can explain what to look for and set up WordPress on the account you choose.
