Google Business Profile Optimization

Google Business Profile management built to win the map pack.

Your Google Business Profile decides whether customers see you or scroll past you. I manage the categories, photos, posts, and reviews that move a profile into the top three map-pack spots — the ones that get the calls.

Why the map pack matters

Three spots get the calls. Everything after gets scrolled past.

When someone searches for a local service, Google shows three business profiles above everything else — the map pack. Most of the calls, clicks, and direction requests go to those three. Position four and beyond might as well not exist.

Google ranks profiles on three things: how relevant your profile is to the search, how close you are, and how established your profile looks. Categories, photos, posts, and reviews all feed into that third factor — and all of it is within your control.

What I optimize

Every ranking factor, handled by hand.

Categories & services

Your primary category carries the most ranking weight on the profile. I audit and correct it, then build out the full secondary category and services list so Google understands exactly what you do.

Keyword-tuned description & fields

Your business description and profile fields get rewritten around how people actually search locally — not generic boilerplate copy.

Geo-tagged photos

Ten photos, geo-tagged and sequenced the way Google’s algorithm favors, replacing outdated or missing images.

Weekly Google posts

Four weeks of posts, written and scheduled in advance, so your profile shows consistent activity instead of going stale.

Review signals

A simple system for turning finished jobs into five-star reviews — the single strongest trust signal Google and customers both look at.

Keyword leak report

A report showing exactly which local searches you’re missing out on, city by city, so we know where the opportunity actually is.

Common questions

GMB optimization, answered.

What is GMB optimization?

It’s the process of tuning every part of your Google Business Profile — categories, services, description, photos, posts, and reviews — so it ranks for the searches your customers are actually typing, like “[your service] near me.”

How long until I see movement in the map pack?

Most profiles start shifting within two to three weeks of the rebuild. Fuller movement in the map pack typically shows up over 60 to 90 days, though the exact timeline depends on how competitive your city and category are.

Do you need my Google password?

No. I work entirely through manager access on your Google Business Profile — you keep full ownership and can remove access at any time.

Is the first review really free?

Yes. The map-pack review costs nothing and comes with no card and no contract. You keep the findings whether or not we work together afterward.

What if I serve more than one city?

One optimized profile can only rank for so many places at once. If you serve several cities, that usually means pairing this with dedicated local SEO for each service area — worth a conversation before we start.
